Ultralon Foam Opening Production and Distribution Facility in North Kingstown, RI

North Kingstown, RI (May 31, 2017) — Ultralon Foam International Ltd., a leading producer of foam products, is opening a new production and distribution facility in North Kingstown, RI, the
company announced today.

The company will move from its current location in East Greenwich to the new facility at 376 Dry Bridge Road, which will become the North American headquarters for Ultralon Foam USA. Ultralon, based in New Zealand, produces foam products for a variety of markets, including the medical, sports and marine industries. Its foam is used in numerous consumer products, including heat moldable foam liners for ski boots and shoes, boat and dock fenders, playground safety surfaces, sports helmets and packaging for electronic equipment.

“The facility will continue the rapid and successful growth that Ultralon has seen in North America over the last few years,” explains Matthew Bodoff, Ultralon Foam USA’s Vice President of Sales. “It will allow us to provide superior local service to the New England and Mid-Atlantic markets and continue our tradition of quick turnaround of orders to all of our North American customers.”

Production activities will focus on Ultralon’s strong lineup of closed-cell foam products for the marine, hot tub, swim spa and tub/shower industries, under the U-DEK brand name. The facility will have full digitizing, design and production capability to produce closed-cell foam marine deck treads. In addition, Ultralon will be relocating its North American warehouse to Rhode Island from Chicago, IL to improve service and lead times to its marine, sporting good, medical and industrial customers.
